How am I supposed to permit and use an extension that requires admin over my email with the ability to read, write and DELETE all my email?!
not working email traking
When I installed this extension and signed up for Boomerang, nowhere did it mention that it was a free trial. Then later I got an email from Boomerang saying my trial is going to end soon: "After the trial ends, all of your Boomerangs and Send Laters will be delivered as scheduled. However, your Recurring Messages will be canceled." The whole reason I got Boomerang is for the recurring messages feature. Very deceptive of Boomerang. Waste of my time.
I thought that this extension would be a good solution to auto send email to Mediacom every 60 days requesting to be put on their opt-out list. That internet provider refuses to stop sending me adverts to my apartment mailbox, so I am required to contact them every so often to be put on their temporary opt-out list. Anyway, this extension seemed like it would help me send those requests to Mediacom, but it stopped working after around a month (with no warning) and then I learned that it is a paid subscription service and I was only on a trial. I'm annoyed because it doesn't say in clear writing on the exension page "THIS EXTENSION REQUIRES A PAID SUBSCRIPTION". If I had known that, I WOULDN'T HAVE WASTED MY TIME installing the application and figuring out how to set it up.
Great while using, but no warning that I was using a free trial. The trial expired without any warning and a few important emails did not get sent out. Impressed while using but unimpressed by professionalism.
I requires to pay for a subscription
Simply can't use an extenstion that requires admin over my email with the abitlity to read, write AND DELETE all my email. A great concept, just needs to move their product from Boomerang-centered to Customer-centered. No (good) reason all this visibility/authority need be handed over to the Boomerang Cloud server to do with what they wish. Will uninstall as soon as done with this review.
Cancelled my recurring scheduled email without warning at the end of my free trial, meaning that an important email was left unsent.
Uses evil / dark design UI patterns, aimed at fooling people and undoing the decades of helpful intuition design that went into the UI patterns they are abusing to trick people into using their software. (BOLD TEXT) (BOLD TEXT) Let's connect to your Gmail: SHINY BLUE BUTTON WITH GOOGLE LOGO: Sign in with Google (tiny italic grey text): By clicking "Sign in with Google", you agree to our (underlined) Terms of use. (EMPTY SPACE) (EMPTY SPACE) (even greyer tiny italic text) No thanks, I don't want to use Boomerang. Stop undoing the legacy of honourable UI designers whose good work helped make software available to common people, just so you can make a bit more money. That is evil, and you know it. I don't care if all your cool marketing race-to-the-bottom friends are doing it. Present fair choices to the user. Be a good person in your work life as well as your professional life.
Just want to say this is a good tool for me. I have it added for years. Just there are similar functionalities included in gmail, so I don't need any extension now.
